Hey, I’m Matty (they/them). I’m a queer tatted ex pastry chef that is here to have lots of laughter and make magic with people I care about. I’ve been a photographer my entire life, but my journey as a professional film photographer started in 2020. I bought my first film camera and mercilessly photographed during the first year of the pandemic. Since then, I’ve honed my craft through professional organizations, schooling, and second shooting. Since I’ve documented weddings, engagements, family portraits, runways, brand shoots and more. Regardless of the celebration, I assure you I am bringing my whole heart into every project. Maybe a few little treats, too.

When I’m not photographing it’s likely you’ll find me cooking, listening to music (see: Paramore, Wallows, Tobe Nwigwe, Boy Genius, Beyonce, Labrinth, Sylvan Esso, Billie Eilish, Muna), spending quality time with my chosen family, hanging out with my dogs (Odie and Maddie), and creating art. I love a glass of orange wine, and am unlikely to turn down caviar if you offer it to me.

I believe that film photography is for everyone, I want to serve the many diverse communities seeking and needing representation.. I understand navigating and booking vendors for weddings can be an extra hurdle and stressor for us, and I hope to ease that stress. I say we show the world that our moments are beautiful. Our love is valuable, and are worth capturing. I adore getting to know my clients, and I want to know your story. A love story that deserves to be cherished and documented for future generations to see we made it.

I understand the profound impact that photography can have on preserving moments, especially for this special communities we find ourselves in. I think that every photo deserves to feel uniquely yours.
